This is an entry to competition set up by a forum I joined not too long ago called Seventh Sanctum. Basically, using a set of name generators as a basis for the characters I had to design a villain and a bunch of minions/monsters to go with him.
The names I got were:
Slyspawn The Mage (Villain - cloaked figure in centre)
Blaspheming Spawn (Minion - Holding Slyspawn's robe) Damned Spiders (Monster - Centre right) Great Raven Ones (Minions - Centre left/left corner) Shakers From The Storm World (Monster - top centre) Silence Ones From Botte (Minion - top right corner) Holding Minion (Monster - Bottom right corner)
The fallen hero at the bottom was unnamed, I just added him for extra effect. Regardless of whether or not this is a winner (whilst a serious entry it's largely done for the fun of it), I'm very happy with the picture in itself. I should try drawing monsters and villains more often. Skyspawn was influenced just a little by Chaos sorcerors from Warhammer.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
